IRENE MARJORIE STOREY (nee GUNN) Peacefully, in her sleep, Irene Storey passed away at the Riverview Health Centre on Friday, November 5, 2004. Irene was predeceased by her husband Eldred in 1980; her brothers, Carl (infant), Cecil, Jared and Bert; her sisters, Myrtle, Florence, Ella and Beulah and by several nieces and nephews. Irene is survived by her son Gary (Beverley) daughter Dorynne (Tom) Park and grandchildren, Sandra and Todd Storey and Darcie, Shelley and Bradley Park and a number of nieces and nephews. Born on June 21, 1910 in the Foxwarren District, Irene spent her early years in the Bayfield District near Foxwarren. She married Eldred Storey of the Arden District in 1933. They farmed in the Arden area until 1958 when they moved to Winnipeg. Irene operated a catering business at the Maple Leaf Curling Club in Winnipeg for the next 13 years. Upon retirement they moved to the Ft. Richmond area of Ft. Garry. Irene lived there until February 2002 when she moved into personal care. Irene was a resident at Riverview Health Centre until her death. The family would like to thank Pat Yamada and the nursing staff on CD4 for their kindness and care of Irene while she resided there. If family and friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in Moms memory may be made to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 9Z9 or a charity of ones choice. Cremation has taken place. Memorial arrangements are pending.
